David Letterman has been quite angry at John McCain for several weeks now. Though McCain may be on Letterman's show in the near future, the "Late Show" host hasn't stopped poking fun at the presidential candidate since canceling on his appearance.
Several publications, including
The Huffington Post, have reported that David Letterman and John McCain
may be in talks to have an appearance together on "The Late Show," but Letterman wasn't going to stop is ongoing attack on McCain. Last night Letterman was doing his usual opening monologue when he brought up the topic on McCain's decision to cancel his campaign in Michigan.
According to Letterman, McCain has his reasons:
"John McCain has pulled out of Michigan, I guess the surge wasn't working. Yep, this is stunning to me. John McCain blew off Michigan. Well, I know how they feel. I know how they feel. Maybe you noticed that all of John McCain's problems began when he bailed out on this show, were you aware of that? The road to the White House runs right through here."
This isn't the first time Letterman has attacked McCain. This all started when McCain has to cancel to his appearance on Letterman's show to "go back to Washington and deal with the financial crisis." When Letterman learned of this and found out that McCain actually was interview by Katie Couric on the same network. This only set the fire for his onslaught of McCain/Palin attacks. You know you have ticked off Letterman when he hosts a
top ten list about your Vice Presidential candidate at her debate camp.
