Sarah Palin's Not Really Happy With Conceding Michigan

It was only a few days ago that the campaign for GOP Presidential nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona would concede Michigan to Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois. There is the inevitability that it will critically hurt McCain’s chances of winning the United States Presidency this November. Michigan is one of the crucial battleground states in the election.

So far, it seemed that the McCain camp is “satisfied.” However, McCain’s VP running-mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, is does not look happy with the decision. This could possibly spell further trouble for the McCain campaign.

On Friday, October 3, Palin was interviewed on Fox News. It seemed apparent that Palin was not satisfied with conceding Michigan. Overall, she has every right not to be happy with the decision.

She made her disagreement public.

Palin explains that she sent an e-mail back expressing her dissatisfaction with the decision to give up Michigan. She explained that herself and her husband Todd would love to campaign in Michigan. Palin also added about touring the car plants.

It was the automotive industry that was crucial to victory of former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney in Michigan during the GOP primary contest. Romney made it known that automobiles were in his blood and his family’s blood.

Romney’s father, George Wilcken Romney, was very active in the automobile industry. George W. Romney would become the Chairman and CEO of the American Motors Corporation.

Back to Palin, she explained that in her e-mail that she and Todd would love to speak to the people of Michigan.

Overall, Palin said that she wants to try to win Michigan for McCain. Ultimately, that decision will be up to McCain. Keep in mind that during the GOP primary, Romney had won the state.

Who knows, perhaps Mitt Romney might have some words for McCain in the near future.

In a nutshell, Palin strongly disagrees with McCain’s decision. One can predict that this is going to have a profound effect on McCain’s campaign. And, one must prepare for possible words from Romney.
