This absurd tale of kidnap-rescue would seem to come straight out of the pages of a dime-store novel plot but it didn’t. Read all about this love-struck banker and his attempts to make a co-worker love him.
According to news sources, German banker, Tom Mueller, aged 36, allegedly staged the kidnapping of a colleague and then rescued her (in the nick of time, of course) in the hopes that she would fall for him. He broke into the object of his affection’s home (Tanya Schulze-lucky girl) in the middle of the night and told her that he was the boss of a ruthless kidnap gang. Wearing a mask and speaking English, Mueller tied the poor woman up, put a bag on her head and ransacked her home for several hours. (Can you imagine what he would do to someone he allegedly didn’t like?)

After he finished, he then rang the doorbell, ripped off his mask and rushed into the house to rescue her, telling her that he frightened off the gang! The police had some trouble buying his story especially after they found Miss Schultze’s purse in his pocket.

Romeo’s is now facing charges of kidnapping, unlawful entry and theft. Alas, he lost poor Juliet who was terrified by the whole experience. The course of true love may never run smooth, but stupidity doesn’t make the road any easier to climb!

Go figure!
