After protests Dutch Christian naturalists have canceled a second nude Mass in Zeewolde, Netherlands. The first service was in June with a clothed priest presiding.
The Christian naturalists take to heart the passages in the Bible that Adam and Eve were naked until they were banned from the Garden of Eden. According to the Bible when God created man and woman, Adam and Eve felt no shame in their nudity. They state that the Bible places no rules on wearing clothing and that Christians should not be ashamed of their bodies.
Other more conservative Christians in the area don't feel the same way and protested the nude service. Because of the protests a second service was cancelled and the web set Gan Eden's was shut down.
The Telegraph reports:
"Because of the negative publicity and the lurid curses in the guest book we have been obliged to close the site temporarily," says the group's website.
"It is a problem that this proves be necessary in a country which calls itself tolerant."
