Whether he's being funny or being truthful, David Letterman is still not happy with the Presidential hopeful John McCain.
David Letterman, still upset with the cancellation of an appearance by John McCain,
continued to make jokes and comments towards the Presidential hopeful's no-show. Letterman wasn't just angry that McCain cancelled in order to work on the budget crisis; he was upset that McCain cancelled but still appeared for a Katie Couric interview and THEN stayed in New York until the next day.
As AP reports:
"Now I'm feeling like an ugly date," Letterman said. "I feel used. I feel cheap. I feel sullied."
A campaign spokesperson said McCain cancelled because it wasn't a "night for comedy".
Letterman continued to make comments throughout the show, comparing McCain's decision to stuntman David Blaine's anticlimactic ending to his upside down display.
As AP reports:
"They just left the guy hanging there," he said. "It's the same thing McCain did to me last night."
