A rather large 80 Kg pig has wandered onto a property in Australia. All was well until the pig snapped a broom stick in half with it's mouth and tore a mattress to shreds.
When Caroline Hayes, 63, a vegetarian, of Uki, a small town about 800 km north of Sydney Australia, decided to care for a stray domestic pig, she bit off more than she could chew.

The pig, nicknamed Bruce, appeared at her garden gate about ten days ago. Caroline and some of her neighbours began feeding Bruce and treated some wounds that he had.

Then one morning Bruce started to become very demanding, butting his head against the farmhouse door at 4 AM relentlessly until Ms. Hayes fed him, then fed him some more. His regular feedings were not sufficient and had to be supplemented by dozens of bananas.

The neighbours were also tired of Bruce's antics, chasing people and pets to satisfy his insatiable appetite and leaving a trail of destruction.

He wrecked Ms Hayes's yard, fences and a dam, and even forced his way into the family car and an old school bus in his search for food.

On Monday, Ms Hayes locked herself in her home and waited to be rescued by local animal Rangers.

Regardless of his bad manners, Ms. Hayes did not want Bruce to be harmed.

In the end, it was Bruce's appetite that led to his capture. Bruce casually walked into a cage well stocked with bananas.

I can safely say that Bruce is now on his way to a pig farm where a few sows are eagerly awaiting his arrival.
