For a third time since the toddler's disappearance, Casey Anthony was arrested and jailed. The charges are related to allegations of theft that stem from her second arrest back in late August.
In a case that seems more like a yo-yo trick, Casey Anthony was arrested and jailed for a third time yesterday as reported by CNN. This time, she has been charged with "passing a forged check, fraudulent use of personal identification and petty theft, according to an arrest affidavit released by the Orange County Sheriff's Office."
On July 16, Anthony was arrested on charges of child neglect, allegedly making false official statements and obstructing a criminal investigation after she allegedly lied to police about her missing then 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. The young girl had been missing since mid-June.
After being released from prison on August 21, she was re-arrested on August 29 on charges of suspicion of forgery, fraudulent use of personal information and petty theft. Although she was initially unable to make bail, an anonymous individual posted the $500,000 US, and she was released.
Those suspicions of theft were allegedly confirmed by police, and she was arrested again yesterday.
Her daughter who has since turned 3-years-old is presumed dead with evidence clearly pointing in that direction.
As explained in another news report, the recent arrest was being viewed as less of an evidence action and more of a showboating tactic :
Anthony's spokesman says authorities are just grandstanding
The spokesman, Todd Black, also stated in the Orlando Sentinel that "It is another lie for media to report that any rearrest of Casey Anthony is "Breaking News" or "Bombshell News" whatsoever."
Casey Anthony has not been charged with her daughter's suspected murder but is still being labeled a person of interest in the case.
Caylee Anthony is still missing.
