The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Private Recipes Ltd. are warning the public not to consume the Private Recipe brand Creamed Salmon frozen entree because the product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Private Recipes Ltd. are warning the public not to consume the Private Recipe brand Creamed Salmon frozen entree described below because the product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The affected product, Private Recipe brand Creamed Salmon with Mashed Potatoes & Glazed Carrots is a 370 g frozen meal bearing item number 12012 and a Best Before Date of 2009 JN 06. It was distributed frozen by “Meal on Wheels” and similar charitable agencies in British Columbia, Ontario, and New Brunswick.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
The manufacturer, Private Recipes Limited of Brampton, ON, is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
