Oasis singer Noel Gallagher was attacked Sunday night in Toronto while on stage. A man ran across the stage in front of 40,000 fans knocking the singer from behind while the band played "Morning Glory."
Gallagher, 41, landed into the speakers possibly breaking a rib. He is in hospital.
Liam Gallagher, brother of Noel, ran to punch the man but failed to connect before security removed him from the stage.
The brothers left the stage for a moment before returning and finishing their set at the Virgin Festival. Oasis was the headliners for the concert.
Police say that the 47-year-old Toronto man has been charged with assault. He was released without bail and will appear in court next month.
