Bella the cat survives 70 mile road trip under her owners truck, hanging on for a 2 1/2 hour thrill ride. The Gilbert, Arizona owners had no idea she was sleeping under the truck when Gil Smith left for his business trip. The cat suffered no injuries.
Stowaways come in all shapes, sizes and well, for this little girl, skin textures. Bella, an adopted what looks to be a well-fed orange tabby, probably didn't intend on getting the ride of her life recently when she was perched on a spare tire under her owner's truck.

When Gil Smith embarked upon a 2 1/2 hour trip for a business meeting in Kearny, AZ, nearly 70-miles from his Gilbert home, he probably didn't intend on bringing along any passengers either.

According to an AOL news story, when Gil arrived at his destination and exited his truck:

...he heard a cat in distress and realized it was his.
Smith said the cat, Bella, was hysterical, shaky and tired, but was smart enough to know not to jump off the tire as the truck was moving

Bella was a bit shaken but was fine, her owner said. However, the news story did quote Mr. Smith as saying that he had to cancel the business meeting and get the adventurous one back home because:

It was either that, or, he jokes, get a divorce.

In February of this year, itcho.com reported a story about Monty, a 6-year-old ginger cat in the UK who had crawled into his owner's car bumper. Monty fell off that 60 mph metal thrill ride after 30 miles of hanging on before his owner saw the little guy bounce around the road. Still, Monty escaped with minor injuries compared to what he could have suffered.

These furry friends do have nine lives.
