Recall if you will the early 1970s with Helen Reddy’s I Am Woman or, better yet, Simon and Garfunkel’s The Sounds of Silence. Helen Reddy and the mighty duo of Simon and Garfunkel were the revolutionaries of their day and time.
They were heralded as heroes for their apparent head butting with The Establishment through their concerts and various college campus appearances. Helen Reddy was the ear and mouthpiece for the Women’s Rights movement in regards to the ERA and bra burning and was the catalyst for the rights of women across America. Simon and Garfunkel utilized their music to reach out with their clear message of anti-establishment, draft dodging and the burning of draft cards. They participated in a cultural revolution.

Fast forward to the year 2008 and while temporarily reliving the world events in the United States and across the world between while quickly advancing through the years, keep in mind the chain of events of pre-American Revolutionary War. In the United States, it seems as though revolution is forever and inherently imbedded within each of us waiting for that spark, principle, ideal, hope or desire to affect a change that is actually beneficial.

In the pre-American Revolutionary War events, tyranny was rejected in lieu of the much-preferred Freedom Ideology where personal responsibility and self-rule as a local body and not some distant regime was more palatable for a natural existence. Thus it was that the Shot Heard Round The World rang out and once more, revolution was in the air. And no, I am not speaking of any baseball game lest some cannot or will not recall American History.

As in the skirmishes at Lexington, the British marching on Concord and the situation at the North Bridge, in principle, such were the chain of events in American history on Aug 1st, 2008 in the House of Representatives. It was not the shot heard round the world per se but it will be known as the Sounds of Darkness and those Sounds of Darkness were indeed heard across this nation and the world. There were no exchanges of musket ball and powder but the metaphorical shot across the bow was and still is a resounding and echoing rallying call to fight a New Tyranny. This New Tyranny is the political incest so rampant in the once Honorable Halls of Congress.

On Aug 1st, 2008, as the Lower House was preparing for their traditional summer recess, nearly 100 members of the House of Representatives were set to give short speeches to address those issues not yet addressed as traditionally was the norm in such recess procedures. The topic at hand was the current energy crisis that has befallen this nation due to the 30+ years of neglect of America’s politicians causing the current crisis yet blaming anything and everything else. The American People know it. The politicians know it and they know that we know. What is also abundantly clear is that the Speaker of The House also knows it but chose not to address the issue because she wants to save the planet – and that just so happens to be not in the job description for Speaker of The House. Nancy Pelosi turned the lights off and set off to appear at book signings and donning the Save The Planet cape at taxpayer expense.

The American People don’t care who is to blame for the energy crisis. The American People want the energy crisis fixed, fixed now and know beyond a reasonable doubt that the energy crisis can be fixed and it can be fixed now. We also know that alternative energy sources are a requirement for future generations yet to come. We also know that for the immediate future, we need to tap into our own abundant resources and completely remove our dependence on foreign oil.

The Speaker of The House, Nancy Pelosi, thinks otherwise thus violating her Oath of Office and misrepresenting the will of the American People. Nancy Pelosi has stated that she thinks drilling won’t do enough yet she is willing to partner up with an oil man that plans on drilling for alternative energy which we should have been doing for decades anyway. We all know that it will take less than ten years to get new oil supplies on-line utilizing our own resources and she especially knows that the alternative energy sources are decades away from being brought on-line. So, in light of this well-known knowledge, is The Plan to do nothing as the political incest continues? Hopefully not.

The Sounds of Darkness has been met and countered with an air of revolution as the American People demand the end of the energy crisis. Brave House Republicans stood up the day the lights went out, the cameras turned off and the microphones silenced in the People’s House. They began another American Revolution and that sound – that shot – has been heard across the globe. Fuel prices dropped the day after President Bush lifted the Presidential moratorium was lifted and the costs at the pump continued to drop as it became apparent to those holding the American People hostage that America was on its way to oil sources independence.

The alleged mainstream media has been extremely slow to catch on seeing that at one time and in another era, it was they who determined what news was classified as news. The old mainstream media is now the dinosaur media and is a passé entity. The social media is now conducting themselves in ways that the old cannot or will not do. Through the New Media, the Main Street Media, via the social media outlets, the American People began to hear real news reporting on real issues crucial to the American People. We have the Speaker of The House to thank for that and through this New Media; we have brought Nancy Pelosi to the table through demands of at least allowing an up or down vote on the American Energy Act.

House Republicans are being joined by House Democrats in this new revolution and I am quite confident that the American People as a whole will in glorious aplomb win this one as well.

The paradigm of political incest is at an end and although that paradigm isn’t actually a new development, it most assuredly has been exposed for what it is. And now, borne from the House Republican revolution, it has become our time and movements have been given birth to a world heretofore closed; the #dontgo Movement being one of them.

The primary rise to preeminence is what I have so named the Conservative Tsunami. The Conservative Movement of Free Enterprise, Personal Responsibility, Independence, National Security, Freedom of Speech, Free Markets and others have been held at bay for far too long but could not be silenced. And, we thank the House Republicans for this opportunity to capitalize on the issues that matter.

The energy crisis is a National Security issue. If and when the National Security issue is lost, there are no other issues that matter – not in the long run. The Global War On Terror is a National Security issue. Again, if the war is lost as some say it has been, there is no other issue that matters.

I have often stated that the book-learned and college-degreed policy makers of all stripes should not be the go-to policy makers. I am of the strong opinion that it should be the Grunts that have to be and are sent into Harms Way to fix the problems or issues that the politicians have caused and created that should be making policy. After all, we Grunts have a long history of fixing the errors of the politicians and the incestuous relics from the days of yore as they jockey for political power and financial gain. Who else would know better? Would it be someone with the ultimate experience or someone that has learned life from a book?

We in the New Media are the New Grunts taking The Now, trying to figure out what to do with it, learning from history, applying that knowledge and trying to take The Now into The Future and not repeating the errors and mistakes from The Past. It is a difficult task but it needs to be accomplished. Someone needs to take up the Guideon.

As I have mentioned before the Conservative Tsunami is rising. It has been the GOP since the time of Abraham Lincoln that has been the champions of Freedom and has battled oppression, tyranny, slavery and has promoted equal rights throughout our nation and the Free and not-so-free World. The GOP has not concerned itself over lording over anyone with the mantra of multiculturalism, political correctness or identity politics. It has been the DNC that has pressed those issues in an attempt to enslave the American People to Big Government and government funded and developed entitlement programs. This era of attempted enslavement is nearing its end and none too soon.

In the current political arena in the race to the White House, it has become all too clear that the Democrat Party has rendered itself ineffective, passé and useless. We have seen 40+ years of identity politics come to a head and we have seen the result. The alleged Party of Tolerance and Unity has self-imploded into an Abyss of Obscurity. However, once again, the GOP has come to the rescue of the oppressed.

Senator John McCain has selected for his running mate Sarah Palin – a woman – to become the next Vice President of the United States. While Nancy Pelosi fell asleep at the helm, her alleged claim to fame has been taken away from her and her Party. Is it any wonder why the current Congress has such a dismal approval rating? Hillary Clinton’s life-long dream to the ascension to the White House has been dashed upon the rocks of despair, greed and hatred. Barack Obama’s Chicago politiks has been exposed for what they are – un-American – and his hopes to change went from a good concept to mishandled concept and then right back to the business as usual – no hope for change and no change for the better; just more Chicago antics. Barack’s spotlight as if to say, “You have to vote for Barack” has been turned off.

The Party for Change has always been within the GOP among the Conservatives. The Party for Change has always been within the DNC among the Conservatives there as well.

Yes, the Conservative Tsunami has begun to crest but not quite yet. We Conservatives whether we are members of a political party with the letters D, R or I have much work before us and we have the New Media to carry that work forward. We no longer need any other media.

The McCain-Palin ticket is that Conservative Tsunami and coupled with the new American Revolution over the energy crisis, the opposition is doomed to obscurity for many years to come.
