When Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin attended the Newsweek Women & Leadership Event in Los Angeles late March, Palin talked about Hillary Clinton and said she is doing disservice to women and that she is a whiner.
Sen. John McCain chose Sarah Palin yesterday with much fanfare after
meeting her only once. In her VP nominee introduction speech, she talked about how proud she was about the women in the presidential races, Hillary Clinton and Geraldine Ferraro and tried to woo the 18 million voters especially the women, who voted for Hillary Clinton.
But Palin didn’t have a favorable opinion about Clinton early this year. She spoke at the Newsweek Women & Leadership Event and the video of her opinions about Clinton is shown at
this link (the video doesn’t have an embed link).
Her quote: “She (Clinton) does herself a disservice to even mention it really. You've got to plow through that. You've got to know what you're getting into....any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism...I think, man, that doesn't do us any good, women in politics, women in general, wanting to progress this country."
She accuses Hillary Clinton of hurting the cause of women. She also said that she feels bad that she is unable to support a woman candidate because of this.
McCain also didn’t have favorable opinion about Clinton until she dropped from the race. In
last November (the video posted here), one of her supporters asked McCain about Clinton, “How do we beat this bitch? McCain didn’t stop her to not say the word, but kind of chuckled and went along with that supporter.
Now both Palin and McCain want Clinton’s supporters to vote for them.
