Iran was named as the sixth country capable of dispatching communication satellite carrier by launching its first domestically built "Safir-e-Omid" from the Iranian station to the orbit.
After being named as the world's 10th Nano-Technology power, gaining the third place of International mathematics Olympiad in Bulgaria and achieving the 5th place of International chemistry Olympiad in Budapest, launching Safir-e-Omid could be called as the greatest scientific progress of Iran in year 2008.
"Safir-e-Omid" which means the ambassador of peace, is the second spatial project of Iran after dispatching the research satellite "Omid" which was a common project with Russia.
Islamic Republic of Iran also planned to set four other astronomical common projects with Russia, Canada and Italy in next months while it has announced that the second Iranian spaceman will make his journey to spatial station within the next year.
According to the Iranian "clue of 20-years enhancement" which is compiled by the national parliament, the country must earn the first position of continent Asia in the fields of high-technology, science and research until the year 2024 and join to the world's top 5 developed countries.
Additionally, "Besharat" or "Enunciation" is the first astronomical common project of three major Muslim countries Iran, Turkey and Malaysia in order to introduce the first Muslims common spacecraft within the next 2 years.
Iranian space organization is striving to win the title of Persian science flag-bearer in a close competition with the national Nano-technology foundation while the Biologic cloning institute of Royan is another main rival.
The last scientific prosperities of Iran which are leading to the end of western monarchy, provoked high anger among the officials of US, Israel and UK as well and there are a lot of misleading propaganda to call down these achievements using the professional media tactics.
Iran was historically a cradle of sciences with outstanding personalities such as Avicenna, Khwarizmi, Farabi, Khayyam and Rhazes who assisted to the exuberant advancements of Philosophy, mathematics, Biology and medicine.
