The Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Republican National Committee (RNC) both unveiled the podiums that will be used for their conventions.
Starting with the Democratic National Committee's convention podium, set up at the Pepsi Center, which is unveiled on the Democratic National Committee Convention website, via slideslow, is discussed in the Denver Post, who says, "Here's hoping it makes more sense when we see it on television."
The Post describes it in their headline as eye-popping and it is. It is colorful and creative and has a staircase leading from the floor to a raised platform.

Throughout the slideshow one can see the screen in the middle shows images saying DNC, and the underneath it says Democratic National Convention.
They used as many recyclable materials to make the stage as green as possible.
The Post ends by saying it has to be seen to be believed.
The Republican National Committee convention podium was also unveiled, via news release, from PRNewswire and can also be found at Market Watch, showing the Xcel Energy Center after it was transformed for the Republican convention.
It is the traditional Red, White and Blue theme that many have come to expect from the Republican party .

According to the press release the "podium will be positioned only four feet above the arena's floor, where the delegates will be seated," the goal to keep the speaker on the tsage as close to the audience as possible.
Maria Cino, President and CEO of the 2008 Republican National Convention states for the release, "The stage was designed to facilitate the candid and personal tone that Americans have come to expect from Senator McCain. The intimate setting will be a fitting backdrop for Senator McCain's acceptance speech."
Two very different styles, each geared for their choice audience and combined, took tens of thousands of man hours to prepare.
