Video Shows Mugger Beating 85-Year-Old Woman in Elevator

Video cameras installed in an elevator captured a mugger brutally beating an 85-year-old woman. A reward for the mugger's capture has been posted.

In the video, the mugger walks into the elevator, harmless at first, and the 85-year-old woman walks in on a different floor. Initially, the mugger remains silent, but just as she walks out, he choke-holds her and takes her purse and cane. The security guard watched the live tape but thought the two knew each other. The guard later saw her in the ground and called 911. Police hope to catch the man by releasing this tape. They are also investigating the incident to see whether the mugger was involved in other crimes in the area. Lillian France is at the hospital now recovering from injuries. A $12,000 reward has been posted to capture the attacker.
