Google's Gmail users were unable to login to their account for several hours on Friday as they were getting an error while trying to login. It was the second failure in a week's time.
Google has been steadily adding a number of new features into it's web based mail service Gmail recently. But users across the world faced a "502 Server Error" on Monday while trying to access their mail. The problem lasted for a couple of hours.Google came out with an apology and claimed they have fixed the problem.

But the same error resurfaced on Friday, this time lasting for several hours. Gmail's business users were the most affected. Even though the basic html view was working for some users , some were not able to access even that also.Google apologized again.

Google spokesman Andrew Kovacs said

We know how important Gmail is to our users, so we take issues like this very seriously, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We encourage anyone having technical difficulty to visit the Gmail or Google Apps discussion groups where we're posting status updates.
