Zogby conducted an online interactive survey of 3,339 likely voters participating and 55 percent wanted Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr to be included in the three scheduled presidential debates.
Independent voters are the most likely people who wish minor party candidates to participate in the scheduled debates between McCain and Obama. According to the Zogby poll conducted this week; males, single people and younger voters are more likely to want minor party candidates participating in the debates as opposed to females, older people and married people.

World Net Daily reports that ''among those calling themselves independents, the demand was even higher, with 69 percent wanting to include Barr on stage and 59 percent asking that Ralph Nader be included, too. Only 46 percent of the total polled, however, answered ''yes'' to whether or not Nader should appear in presidential debates.''

Three scheduled presidential debates between McCain and Obama are set for the following places and dates: the University of Mississippi in Oxford on September 26; Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee on October 7 and the third debate is scheduled for Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York on October 15.

Currently, Nader and Barr aren't qualified to engage in the debates between McCain and Obama because neither candidate has achieved a national ranking of 15 percent in the polls. The Commission on Presidential Debates establishes the rules.

So far, Barr and Nader haven't even reached 10 percent in the national political presidential polls.

World Net Daily reports that ''trends in the poll showed independents the most likely to desire other candidates on stage, while Republicans were the least likely to want Barr and Democrats the least likely to favor a Nader appearance.''

Zogby International didn't include the Constitution Party's presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin or America's Independent Party candidate Alan Keyes in the poll.
