The New York Times #1 best seller Obama Nation has been hailed as Unfit for Publication. The Author Jerome R. Corsi Ph.D., is accused of presenting outright lies within the pages of the book. Obama states he will not be swift boated by the book.
Jerome R. Corsi Ph.D. a #1 New York Times bestselling author of the book Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry has been accused of writing lies in his new book, The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality. The Obama campaign came out with a statement today that Obama will not be swift boated by the latest New York Times #1 best seller.
The swift boating argument was one that was anticipated by Dr. Corsi and he related in the preface of his book that he was not asked by the swift boat veterans to author the book.
"Any implication that this is a "Swift Boat" book is not accurate in the John O'Neill and the other members of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth have had nothing to do with this book, its analysis and arguments, or my opposition to Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign."
Obama spokesman Tommy Ventor said that the book is,"...
made up of the same old debunked smears that have been floating around the Internet for months." He also called Jerome Corsi a
"discredited liar who is peddling another piece of garbage to continue the Bush-Cheney politics he helped perpetuate four years ago."
Those lies which the Obama Campaign debunks can be found highlighted on Fightthesmears.com with a
41 page rebuttal to Jerome Corsi's new book. The report not only personally attacks Corsi for his conspiracy theorist views such as; believing 9/11 was a government cover up, there is an endless supply of oil under the earths crust, and that George Bush is trying to merge Mexico, Canada, and the United States into one country, but also rebuts points that were identical to what was found in Corsi's book. Both the book and the rebuttal have been hailed as questionably accurate.
In response to his book Corsi claims to be receiving death threats through e-mail from Obama supporters. These death threats are said to be published on WorldNetDaily.com, the website is home to not only Corsi but other conservative writers.
Some of the inaccuracies addressed in the book are accusations of Obama's religion, the date of his marriage to Michelle, his past drug usage, among other rumors that have circulated about Obama. In order to fully understand the book one is recommended to read Obama's autobiography Dreams of My Father.
