John McCain Ad: 'Democrats Praise McCain' Featuring Hillary Clinton

Previous glowing statements from Democratic lawmakers are the theme of the new ad produced by the McCain campaign, ending with words from Hillary Clinton.

Former Democratic Senator and Senate Majority Leader from South Dakota Tom Daschle, speaking to praising how John McCain can work with Democrats on key issues.

Senator Joe Biden, former presidential candidate, who says that he would be honored to run with or against John McCain.

John Kerry, Senator and former presidential candidate stating that he has enormous respect for John McCain as well as calling him courageous and patriotic American who stands up for what he believes.

Howard Dean saying that he admires Senator McCain greatly and taking it a step further saying that McCain was one of the people he modeled his campaign on because he is very direct and very blunt and nobody has to guess what he is thinking.

Senator Russ Feingold saying he loves McCain, he is a great guy!

The ad goes on to show that even "Obama has praise for the Maverick"

It concludes by giving the last word to Hillary Clinton in her now famous speech where she says, "I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience that he will bring to the White House and Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002."

This is the second such ad using the Maverick theme in the last few days.

When Hillary Clinton made that speech about McCain's experience back in early March, Democrats from all over criticized her for it, and many conservatives at the time thanked her for saying it and assured people that she was providing John McCain with ammunition against Obama should she not take the nomination.

Before it came down to Obama and McCain being their individuals party's presumptive nominees, Democrats, including Obama had nothing but wonderful things to say about him and heaped praise on the way he was a proven entity that could work across the aisle and get things accomplished.

The Democrats publicly professed their admiration for John McCain and reminding people of what was said and by the opposing party, is a good way to suggest to voters that what they hear now is simply campaign rhetoric.

Tucker Bounds, who is a spokesman for John McCain's campaign, when asked about the use of Clinton in these ads, said, "We don't go into our media strategy but it's not unlikely that she will figure in further ads."
