Mary Kate Olsen issued a statement denying any sort of involvement she might have had in the death of the Dark Knight star, Heath Ledger, as a result of drug overdose.
Soon after rumors began circling around the mystery behind Actor Heath Ledger's death, and Sue D reported how Mary Kate Olsen refused to talk to investigators unless she was granted immunity, the Olsen twin issued a statement to the press on Tuesday denying any involvement in the death of actor Heath Ledger, who died of a drug overdose earlier this year, in his Manhattan apartment.
A report by the IANS stated:
Olsen was not present at the time, but she was the first person called after his housekeeper discovered Ledger's body. Olsen reportedly sent her bodyguards to check the scene before police were called.
'Regarding the government's investigation, at Olsen's request, we have provided the government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Ledger's death and the fact that Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Ledger consumed,' her lawyer Michael Miller said in the statement.
Sue D reported:
Authorities believe Ledger obtained the oxycodone and hydrocodone with either fake prescriptions or some other illegal manner.
Speculation was sparked after Mary Kate had requested for immunity, with some reports by the police stating that she might have helped Ledger get Oxycontin and Vicodin painkillers without prescription. As of now, the Olsen twin, in spite of denying her involvement and trying to prove her innocence, remains a suspect.
If rumors are to believed, Mary Kate Olsen may have been culpable in some way or another in Ledger's death.
As for the Batman movie, in which Heath Ledger played the Joker, its almost finished with its 3rd successful week where its garnered $394 million USD and broken all records.
