Nancy Pelosi recently stated she wants to "save the planet." Democrats seem to be having "savior" complexes lately that they were just recently irrationally angry about. Now the Dems are taking the lead in Missionary Diplomacy here on our soil.
The Democratic party, currently under control by extremist liberals, has decided to renege on their stance against proselytizing values and are now ready to become our "saviors."

Pelosi said in a recent interview that she wants to save the planet, but that is not all she said.

“I’m trying to save the planet; I’m trying to save the planet,” she says impatiently when questioned. “I will not have this debate trivialized by their excuse for their failed policy.”

“I respect the office that I hold,” she says. “And when you win the election, you win the majority, and what is the power of the speaker? To set the agenda, the power of recognition, and I am not giving the gavel away to anyone.”

Ms. Pelosi may hold the power of majority over the House, but she certainly does not represent the majority of Americans. She represents San Francisco, her home town and the surround areas, and is attempting to impose San Francisco values on the rest of the nation. In essence she will save the planet, and she will do so as she sees fit. The rest of us in America are just going to have to like it.

Of course many Americans do not see eye to eye with Nancy Pelosi, and their representatives bring the difference in value to the House. Now Pelosi is attempting to block a vote by strong arming all of the "naughty bully republican representatives" into submission. A submission they will not quietly adhere to, much to her consternation.
I can just imagine Nancy Pelosi mirroring President Wilson, " I am going to teach those middle Americans how to elect good people!"

Currently the American Congress is in a deadlock, Democrats will not allow a vote to come on drilling because frankly it would pass, and Republicans refuse to vote for any energy plan unless there is equal discussion on drilling. The Democrats accuse the Republicans of not wanting to use alternative energy resources, trying to blind the populace to the truth using a false correlation. Republicans are not at all happy about windfall profits taxes being levied on big oil industries in an attempt to bring gas prices down.

Most Americans are rather fed up with the whole situation, but Nancy Pelosi still refuses to allow a vote to come on all measures and let the will of the people stand. She would rather play captain planet with American check books while she gets a 5 week vacation.

What exactly is Nancy Pelosi saving the planet from anyway? According to the U.S. Department of Minerals Management Service 65 percent of oil leakage comes from the earth itself, 22 percent from industrial waste run off, 8 percent from atmospheric fallout from consumption, 2% because of recreation boating and 2% from offshore drilling.

Keep those statistics in mind when being presented with arguments from Democrats about the reason for preserving America's coastline.

Argument #1: Off shore oil rigs will ruin the coastline with possible oil spills and will degrade the value of the scenery for tourism that makes tons of money for California.

Reality: 1) Nobody can afford the gas or the plane tickets to get to California. Tourism cannot be as wonderful as it used to right now. 2) All that tourism generates recreational boating which spills just as much oil into the ocean. 3) Yes oil rigs look ugly, I'll give you that one.

Argument #2: Oil drilling will taint the water and thus our food supply of fish.

Reality: 1) The fish supply is already tainted with extreme levels of Mercury from industrial run off ( 22% of oil pollution. 2) We still ate the sea life when the earth was polluting itself. 3) We still eat the sea life even though the boats used to fish it are leaking oil.

Argument #3: We do not want to taint our environment, everything is so pretty here!

Reality: So instead of possibly tainting the environment of America, we will instead taint the environment of the middle eastern nations. How's them apples?

I wonder what Nancy Pelosi would do if the government wanted to utilize the Sun in California. Would the Solar Panels near beaches suddenly be a threat to the environment?

The large reality here is that over 69 percent of the nation wants to lift the ban on off shore oil drilling. And let's give credit where credit is due, many Democrats have indicated they would vote in favor of it because of what their constituents want. For 5 weeks she can pretend she has won, but eventually she will have to come back to the House and face the music. Hopefully she will quit proselytizing about wanting to save the planet because frankly she is full of it, and the real majority in America is not being converted to the Church of Extremist Liberalism.
