The McCain campaign is coming out with another strong negative ad campaign against Barack Obama, and this time the ad compares Obama with celebrities like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.
Sen. John McCain calls himself a straight talker, and says he wants to run a respectful campaign focused on the real issues.
So far, however, it seems he is running negative ads; first he launched attacks on Obama’s patriotism, blamed him for high gas prices, and then accused him of snubbing the troops (even though he himself said earlier that he does not like to politicize his visits with the troops).
Now, McCain's new ad doesn’t talk about what he wants to do for the next four years if he is elected, and instead focuses on Barack Obama as the biggest celebrity in the world (like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton).
The narrator in the ad questions whether Obama is ready to lead the United States. When gas prices are soaring, Barack Obama says no to offshore drilling. He says no to offshore drilling because it will take years to get the oil and won’t have any affect on gas prices according to the oil corporations.
McCain himself voted a few times against offshore drilling in Alaska, but the ad doesn’t say that.
And the ad ends with a “More Foreign Oil” written over the face of Obama, who wants the country to invest on Wind power and solar power instead.
Unfortunately McCain’s message will work, because it worked successfully the last two terms with Karl Rove running campaigns. Truth and facts are the two ingredients you won’t find in such ads.
