Facebook has finally shut down Scrabulous after it received a DMCA takedown notice from Hasbro, which owns Scrabble's rights in the U.S.

Facebook has yielded to Hasbro's DMCA takedown notice and has removed the Scrabulous game based on the popular Scrabble board game. When you visit the Scrabulous game in the U.S. and in Canada, you will see the following message:

Scrabulous is a popular game on Facebook, and many users will be extremely disappointed. Even though Hasbro has their own Scrabble game in Facebook, I doubt they can generate the same experience.
