According to a research team led by Davor Solter of the Institute of Medical Biology in Singapore, infertility will be a thing of the past, with every woman being able to have a baby.
Imagine a time when the whole concept of infertility itself shall become non-existent, a time when a woman no matter how old or young could be able to give birth to a child.

Scientists involved in research related to test tube fertilisation procedures believe that, in the near future, maybe in another 30 years, it might even be possible for women to give birth at the age of 100.

Such a procedure, if possible, will require really advanced techniques not yet available, to create sperm and eggs from skin cells and combined to make embryos.

A report by ANI stated:

"It means every person regardless of age will be able to have children. Newborn children could have children and 100-year-olds could have children. It could easily happen in the next 30 years," the Mirror quoted Solter, as saying.

The researchers say that future techniques would allow scientists to create thousands of embryos to experiment on.

Solter said: "I have no idea what kind of moral value or rights we'd give to those embryos. It could be terrible to start, and then become a fact of life. Maybe 30 years from now we'll read someone made 20,000 embryos and studied their development and we'll decide it's OK."

Whether or not the idea of creating embryos with the help of skin cells will be accepted by all communities or not is a subject of debate for now. However, the possibilities of such a development taking place are more or less known, with the pace at which advancements in medical science are coming and the direction to which they're heading.

Saikat Basu had earlier reported how 'Males could be useless in the very near future' as a result of the possibility of creating sperm from bone marrow and other human tissues in the near future. The research has already faced a lot of criticism from communities who think it as an immoral act which defies the laws of nature as well as human rights.

It seems scientists may just never give up, as long as science can prove to break all moral barriers and make something possible. However, they have provided a solution to those women who have given up on ever being able to conceive a child as a result of infertility.
