When a cellphone is part of the items you steal, be sure and take your photo with it. The police always appreciate any help that they can get.
When you have robbed a business and a cellphone is part of your loot, take your photo with the built-in camera. Oh, and don't forget if a weapon is used, be sure and get a picture of that also.

Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel said two men may be linked to as many as four armed robberies in Macomb County Michigan. What did these guys do, they took photos of themselves as well as a gun with a stolen cell phone camera.

Timothy Burg of Clinton Township and Duane Sain of Redford Township have each been charged with one count of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Both charges carry a maximum penalty of life in prison.

Both of the men were arrested within a few hours after allegedly robbing a $2 car wash. According to police, the men were caught on tape with their faces covered and wearing dark hooded sweatshirts while they were forcing the manager to the safe.

The two men were waving a black pellet gun around which appeared to look real to the victims of the robberies.

Hackel said they are also suspects in three other robberies, including a Burger King and a gas station.

Burg was being held on $50,000 bond in the Macomb County Jail. Sain was being held on $100,000 bond.

As the sheriff's deputies were searching an apartment in Clinton Township, cell phones were discovered that the police believe were stolen in the Burger King robbery.

Hackel Hackel said,
"They'd taken pictures of themselves and the gun on one of the phones' cameras."
