Attacking ones chosen significant other is bad enough, but to attack them with a toilet seat is really striking below the belt.
The assailant in this case is Kimberlee Ann Cole of Fort Pierce, Fla. The assailed was her boyfriend and father of their child Joel Goldsmith. As shown in the mug shots at The Smoking Gun, Mr Goldsmith sustained minor injuries to his forehead during the attack by Ms. Cole.
The altercation began when Ms. Cole found Goldsmith in the bathroom smoking crack cocaine, and Mr. Goldsmith wouldn't stop when asked (politely I'm sure) by Ms. Cole.
During the disagreement on the use of recreational drugs Mr. Goldsmith dropped a cocaine rock in the shower, at which point Cole attempted to rinse it down the drain. (you go girl.)
At some point an unnamed female roommate called 911 and when the Police responded they found Goldsmith bleeding from two minor wounds on his forehead and smaller abrasions also.
The police took both into custody, Cole for domestic battery with a really nasty weapon and the other for possession of cocaine. Left unstated is what the female roommate is going to do without a toilet seat while the two detainees are being held on bond, and the evidence is being held for investigation for residual epiphelials from Mr. Goldsmith's head. There also was no report on whether or not the toilet seat was broken before it was used on Mr. Goldsmith or broken in the altercation. (hoping it was broken in the altercation, that type of pinch is difficult to enjoy)
This is the reason every person should have a weapon of choice near to hand. Being beaten by your girlfriend is bad enough, but to be beaten with a toilet seat is just too demeaning to even report to the police.
With any luck, the eight month old son has found a better environment to live in while this process goes through the court system. One with a working toilet seat which is not used as a weapon, nor where a weapon of that sort is required.
