She is only five years old and already has become a superstar in South Korea as well on YouTube. Also, she is blind and an orphan child. Thanks to her foster parents, who nurtured her musical talents, she has become an expert piano player.
Yoo Ye-eun, born blind, was adopted in 2002. At the age of three she started to play piano, even though neither of her parents have a musical background. She can listen to a song just one time and play it on piano. Besides her exceptional playing talents, she is an incredible singer as well.
Yoo Ye-eun attended the "Star King", a Korean talent show similar to "
Britian's Got Talent" and "
America Got Talent" shows. She vowed the audience as well as the judges, and made them cry in the end.
The YouTube clip showing Ye-eun's performance has been watched more than two million times.
Ye-eun's adoptive mother, Park Jung Soon,
told the judges:
She has perfect pitch even though she has never learnt to play. We never taught her.
She took part in the national celebrations for Korea day and also as recently as last week performed in front of the Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
After her performance in the "Star King" show, she has received many offers and her parents are trying to do what is best for their child. She also received an offer from one of the doctors, who tried to restore her sight but failed.
According to her mother, Ye-eun practices every day and has ambition to become a "great pianist."
