By Vinay Chand     Jul 12, 2008 in Technology
In what is projected to be a huge boost for sales of both the Apple iPhone and the biggest online social networking site, MySpace, the two have paired together, to provide the service on the iPhone and iPhone 3G alike.
MySpace have unveiled a mobile application for the website which will be available for download on your iPhones from the local Apple store or download from iTunes.
According to John Faith, general manager and vice president for MySpace's mobile division, it will be a major improvement over the site's existing mobile offerings.
This move would most likely, in all terms bridge the gap between mobile computing and online social networking, both extremely popular agendas today. It's also cited to be yet another move by MySpace, who's currently undertaking massive ventures to broaden its mobile subscriber base, which is currently estimated to be 1.7 million in the US alone, and yet another 1.4 million in Europe, as claimed by InternetNews.
MySpace is sure to woo its already large subscriber base into staying connected on the go with this new venture. 'All those who love MySpace, will be sure to love the new mobile application'. Users will be able to post comments, view and upload pictures, upload profile information and also use most applications, except probably the GPS and navigation related ones, which might come into use a few months from now.
I dont know about you guys but if i had the new iPhone which I don't, yet, I would most definitely not forget to trespass into the MySpace domain!
