A Clip From Carla Bruni-Sarkozi's album 'Comme si de rien n'etait'
The former supermodel and France's first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy is launching her new music album on the Web, allowing her fans to listen to her entire album for free for a limited time.
Carla Bruni-Sarkozy's new album "Comme si de rien n'etait" (As if nothing had happened) will be released on July 11, 2008.
Before it is made available to the public, she wants to give a free preview of her album on her site carlabruni.com. According to Reuters, Carla sings of her love for President Nicolas Sarkozy on the album.
The free preview will be available only for a two-hour window and her fans can listen to the entire album during that period.
I tried to log in but apparently the site is busy and flooded with her fans in France and in Italy.
Bruni-Sarkozy told France Inter radio that she is determined to have a singing career despite being the First Lady of France.
"This is a trade like any other. It is an honest trade and I hope it won't upset the French if I hold onto a trade."
Her new album has received positive reviews so far. Bruni-Sarkozy said the songs are based on her "a little bit before, a little bit during and a little bit after" romance with Sarkozy last fall (autumn).
The tracks have titles like "You are my drug" and "You belong to me."
In one of the song she sang the following:
"It's not correct, but it's good nonetheless. Let them curse me and I don't give a damn. I couldn't care less, I take all the blame, you need to know, you need to understand, you are my lord, your are my love, you are my orgy."
Bruni-Sarkozy is not planning to go on a concert tour to promote this new album and has decided to give all the money from the sales of her CD to charity.
If you have heard this album please leave a comment, it will be useful for us.
