Apple has asked game developers for the new iPhone 3G to submit their games by tonight so as to include them for the launch of the new App Store this week.

Apple made this announcement today, as the new App Store will go live this Friday when the iPhone 3G will be released simultaneously worldwide.
Apple said in a statement:
“Have your application be among the first available when the App Store goes live. To ensure your application can be considered for the exciting launch of the App Store, submit your application by 12 PM PDT, on July 7, 2008. We will continue to accept applications after this time, however your application may not be available until after the launch of the App Store. Conduct final testing of your application with iPhone OS beta eight and submit your app today.”
Apple will accept games from developers after the deadline but they may not be included right away with the App Store. If game developers want their software to get more publicity then they should have them ready today.
Most probably the new App Store will be available through iTunes along with music, movies, rentals and podcasts.
TechCrunch expects the App Store might be launched a few days earlier.
This App Store will really set the iPhone apart from its competitors. Palm and Symbian Smartphones have a big application database but the iPhone is poised to catch up and surpass them.
On its website, Apple has said there will be applications in many areas such as gaming, chatting, social networking, news, sports, traveling, finance or business. Apple said it will have something (applications) for everyone. Some of the applications may be available free also.
