A ninja was reportedly witnessed creeping around the wooded area near a Barnegat, New Jersey elementary school. He was wielding what was believed to be a deadly sword, probably a ninjatō.
There was also the possibility that he had shuriken hidden in his garb.

The officials at the local schools were faced with the question of why a ninja would be creeping around their elementary school.

Their back room discussions led them to one logical conclusion: They were under attack.

This eminent attack forced them to lockdown area schools at 9:00 on Wednesday morning.

The investigation commenced and a stunning conclusion was reached: The ninja was a local camp counselor.

A further interrogation revealed that the counselor was actually on his way to a costume party at a nearby school when he was spotted in the woods. The sword was plastic, and the costume was a cheap knock off. No respectable ninja would be caught dead wearing a department store costume!

The lock down ended at 9:30 the same morning and the world breathed a collective sigh of relief. The children were, once again, saved by the quick action of public school officials.

What an odd find TRA :):)

While it's painful to admit that the climate of school protection required this response, I couldn't help but giggle at the outcome. Maybe next year he'll stick to Mutant Ninja Turtle outfits.

Not too often do you get to use the words "ninjato", "shuriken", and "camp counselor", in the same article!

You know, I can't help but wonder if the reaction would have been the same had he been trotting along like King Arthur from Monty Python and the Holy Grail...

You have to wonder what would have happened if he picked a pirate instead.

As an avid martial arts expert, unless it's Kyokushin Kai Karate, it ain't gonna help against Nin-Jitsu.

    They're everywhere.

I dunno, I mean... Can Tran, Michael... should we bring the Pirate Vs. Ninja debate on here? Or might it get violent with all the ninjitsu and swashbuckling?

Either way I think I have shown what a queen geek I am... lmao

I dunno... I'd have to stay on the sidelines. Because I am very proficient with a Ninjato and a Pirate Sword.

I would hope you are a bit of both. Men who are only lovers are not worth anyone's time. They won't fight for what they love, and that is just empty....

My Tom is a lover and a fighter, and good at both! lol I am not sure if he prefers pirate or ninja though, I think he would multiclass.
