Tired of gas prices? A Japanese car company Genepax has unveiled an environment friendly car that runs solely on water. A litre of water fuels a one-hour ride.
Genepax unveiled the car in the Japanese city of Osaka. It said that the car can run in any kind of water- tap, rain, river or sea. A litre of water is enough for a one hour ride at a maximum speed of 80 km per hour. Genepax CEO Kiyoshi Hirasawa said.
The car will continue to run as long as you have a bottle of water to top up from time to time. It does not require you to build up an infrastructure to recharge your batteries, which is usually the case for most electric cars.

The working of the car goes like this, the water gets poured into a tank at the back of the car and uses a generator to convert it to electrical power. It's a totally different approach from the big automakers, who are looking at hydrogen fuel cells as the next power source.
The company didn't say when the cars will hit the showrooms, Although it had applied for a patent.
