As the ban on handguns has been overturned in Washington DC by the United States Supreme Court, other cities across the nation are quickly following suit.
It was not long ago that the United States Supreme Court had struck down Washington DC’s ban on handguns. This was a day of victory for gun owners. However, handgun ownership is restricted to their personal homes. Since then, other pro-gun advocates have started to follow suit in cities across the nation.

Now, the National Rifle Association (NRA) is seeking to do the same thing in San Francisco, California. The NRA has recently filed a lawsuit against San Francisco demanding that the handgun pan in public housing is done away with. This action happened on the day after Washington DC’s handgun ban was turned down.

The same suit is being filed in Chicago, Illinois.

One gun owner in San Francisco makes an interesting case. Despite San Francisco having the strongest LGBT community in the United States, there is still prejudice present. This gun owner is gay. He keeps a gun as defense from gay bashers.

First it’s Washington DC, now the rest of the United States. After Washington DC, Chicago and San Francisco have started to follow suit. Expect the same thing to happen in other US cities in the near future. There could be two more possible victories for the NRA in the near future with more soon to follow.

The police can't be present at all times. If someone is mentally competent and passes the exams and gets the permits; they should be allowed to own a firearm.

I agree. There should be an intelligence test and marksmanship test that people should take first.

Intelligence test to make sure you're a responsible firearm.

Marksmanship test to make sure you can aim right.
