Today is officially the last day of the 2008 sturgeon fishing season in the Columbia river, between buoy 10 and the Wauna powerlines.
According to local fisherman, it appears that the quota of sturgeon caught has not been met. The fishing season is rumored to reopen near the 4th of July weekend.
