Not everyone is a bright guy but some crooks just take a piece of the dunce cake. A robber along with three others who were caught in Frankfurt, Germany by a security guard escaped capture only to show up at the police station.
The bumbling crook had been handcuffed by the security guard and couldn't figure out how to get free of his cuffs. Figuring no one would know cuff removal better than the local cops he trotted on down to the station.
The 19-year-old robber told the station house that his buddies had played a prank on him and locked him up. He then asked sweet as you please to be freed of his restraints.
It seems the police in Germany have a sense of humour as they went along with the boy's story knowing all the while the truth they unlocked the man and started pressing him for the real story. When the teen realized he was up the creek with no paddle he confessed his crime.
"It was stupid of him," a police spokesman notes. "They took the cuffs off, but they kept him."
The teen now sits with the other three who didn't run off into the night.
