Recently, the group known as “Party Unity My A—“ (PUMA) was formed by those frustrated that Hillary Clinton was not the Democratic nominee. Will Bower said that he will support McCain.
Will Bower is known as the person who had created the group known as “Party Unity My A—“ (PUMA), after Senator Hillary Clinton of New York had lost the Democratic nomination. The ongoing contest between Clinton and Senator Barack Obama of Illinois had created a rift within the Democratic Party. The ruling by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) had left many supporters for Clinton bitter and frustrated.

There are plenty that have expressed enough frustration to consider voting for presumed GOP nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona instead. Yes, tensions and frustrations are definitely high. Clinton is tasked with getting her supporters to get behind presumed Democratic nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois. But, this task is no cake walk.

Obama is going to have to earn their support. However, it seems that Obama has been making strides with Clinton’s supporters according to a recent poll. The Republican National Committee (RNC) has launched a salvo of attack ads against Obama. Recently, a video of an old clip of Clinton saying McCain would make a better leader than Obama was uploaded onto YouTube.

McCain did not hesitate to go after the Clinton supporters. Will Bower, the founder of PUMA; wants Clinton in office. Bower would not settle for Obama. Instead, Bower has openly said he will support McCain.

Bower has formed PUMA to get other frustrated Clinton supporters to make a stance. This stance is to keep Obama from winning the US Presidency. Bower is not just angry at Obama, he is angry at the whole Democratic Party.

But, Bower did reveal that most of PUMA is mainly of female supporters of Clinton. However, it is highly likely that the female supporters are in their middle ages. Poll results show that Obama has fared better amongst the younger voters than the elderly voters. As the voter ages got higher, the more likely they would support Clinton. As the voter ages got lower, the more likely they would support Obama.

Even the Feminist movement was split between Clinton and Obama. The older ones have sided with Clinton while the younger ones have sided with Obama.

In the case of Bower, he said he hopes that the GOP will find more dirt on Obama.

However, many could say that Bower is whining and complaining that Clinton did not become the Democratic nominee. There were many reasons cited on why Clinton had lost the nomination. Many have blamed how Clinton’s campaign had operated.

In regards to the DNC rules, Obama’s campaign had done a better job with the research.

I want all of us to back McCain. The DNC and Howard Dean chose Obama. We Dems can not be snookered. Our country needs Hillary to get us out of this mess. Obama has no business even running for President with his assoiciations with extreme radicals. Hell he couldn't even get a top secret clearance.

Please get a grip people. We're grasping at straws and perpetuating unsupported GOP blog rumors here. Obama - like every member of congress - already has a top secret clearance. They get it the day they're sworn in. If McCains was temporarily suspended for the incidents mentioned below, it has been restored and your national secrets are safe. Sheesh!

But, it took less than 2 days (thanks Derek) to learn that "Will Bower" was never a registered Dem (nor contributed a dime to the party) but is in fact a lifelong GOPer and a shill for his party. He has never been a Clinton backer.

Some PUMAs are feeling betrayed and foolish for buying to Will's scheme, but let's think this through. It still isn't too late to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and there is a silver lining to the cloud that is the "Bower plan."

If Obama were elected, he would be the target of never-ending attacks in the corporate media/talk radio crowd and could never undo 3 decades of really lousy government/corporate greed in a single term. Most of the American public still think politics is about God, guns and gays and they would demand change overnight. That isn't going to happen and the GOP would get another shot at the government trough in four years.

Most Americans are in the worst financial shape the working class has seen since the '30s and our never ending wars are bleeding our treasury that would be better spent of care for our citizens (not Iraqis). Personal savings are averaging below zero, retirement is questionable for many and income inequality has never been worse since '33. Most working Americans are **vaguely** aware that our corporations are calling the shots through the GOP sock puppets, but many still aren't paying enough attention. The only thing that might get their undivided attention is abject poverty as we experienced during the Depression.

Clearly we need another four (perhaps 8) years of corporate GOP "leadership." John McCain has insured the faithful that his presidency will be corporate-friendly in spite of his previous "maverick' act. He has "kissed the ring" and assured the religious kooks that they will get the pro-corporate, conservative SCOTUS judges they desire for a majority. Nothing could be more perfect and four more years of Bush style GOP leadership will virtually assure Democratic control of Washington DC for the next century. A McCain vote is the right thing to do and there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

For those of you with grandchildren and long memories, it will be difficult to vote for McCain, one of the few senators ever censured by the Senate. His involvement in the Keating scandal and his wife's drug abuse investigation are still in our memory banks. Set that aside and look at the big picture.

Vidkun Quisling- Obama - like every member of congress - already has a top secret clearance. They get it the day they're sworn in.

Being given a clearance and having to apply for one, then being investifated to find out if it's wrranted are two entirely different matters.

You are shooting from the hip and have no idea what is involved in the clearance process. I did it for a living for several years years as a DoD civilian... in your employ and I thank you.

The clearance is mandated in some jobs and no one simply applies for grins. For jobs like a member of congress, it is a necessity for access and you can bet that they are probably vetted to a much higher degree than people with run-of-the-mill clearances. From the moment that they announce that they are running for public office, any candidate above dog catcher level is subjected to intense scrutiny -- by everyone and that vetting is more intense than an SSBI. Rumors become fact and are delved into on a grand scale. Additionally, they take an oath not to reveal secrets.

Is anyone naive enough to think that there was even a stolen soft drink refill in Obama's past that wouldn't make front page news? How about if he ripped the "do not remove" label off his mattress. The "extreme radical" association is talk radio smear tactics and meaningless. Pols "associate" with all kinds of people and they can't run background checks on everyone. When they get involved in criminality as McCain did with Keating, that's another story and it could impact on a clearance.

The talkers are actually waiting for the bombshell (sweet young blonde "raped" years ago and just too traumatized to speak out???) to drop just before the election. The fact is Obama isn't gay (pages and men's room encounters are out) and hasn't been in DC long enough to get indicted/censured like some of his GOP cohorts (Frist, DeLay, Stevens, Cunningham, McCain, on and on). Give him time and he'll be as sleazy as you please.

BTW, skepticism is the antidote for confirmation bias. =0)
