The Sardar Bhagat Singh College of Technology and Management in northern India has named Hanuman as its official chairman. For those not up to speed on Hindu Gods Hanuman is the Monkey God.
That's right a money god is in charge of a school of higher learning in India. The position comes with an office. Hanuman who is said to have moved mountains and fought the demon King Ravana to rescue a kidnapped princess will have a desk and laptop if he decides to come down to the school. All visitors to his office will enter barefoot where four chairs will be facing the empty seat reserved the the god.

When we were looking for a chairman for our institution, we scanned many big names in the field of technology and management. Ultimately, we settled for Lord Hanuman, as none was bigger than him," Vivek Kangdi, the school's vice chairman said.

The Sardar Bhagat Singh College opened last year in Lucknow. It awards bachelor's degrees in engineering and management.
