Finley Percival survived. His mother needs the T-Shirt which tells the world he did so against all odds after being aborted.
Jodie Percival, whose first son died of multicystic dysplastic kidneys lives in Nottinghamshire, England.Multicystic dysplastic kidneys is a disease which causes a child to grow cysts on their kidneys prior to birth.
Jodie Percivals second son also has the disease, and Lewis now has only one kidney.
When Jodie found she was pregnant despite having been on birth control, she decided to have the child aborted because she simply couldn't bear to have another ill child, or to lose another before it was born.
At eight weeks into life, Finley was aborted, she thought.
Eleven weeks later when she felt something going on in her abdomen and went to Doctor to have a scan performed. She was aghast at the finding she was still pregnant, she contacted the hospital and berated them for what was an apparent ineptitude in the abortion attempt.
One week later and another scan, and the doctor's explained the baby was alive and had some kidney damage, but was doing well.
Jodie decided to give the baby a chance and allowed the child to continue.
When Finley was born in November, he had some scarring on his kidney but was in fact a hale and hearty baby being born three weeks premature.
"I just couldn't believe that this child had got through it all and looked so perfect," Ms Percival, a hairdresser, told the Daily Mail.
It is difficult to believe there isn't something special in store for this child. Whatever it might be, he now has the chance for it. I for one am very glad to find a story of this nature which turns out as well as this one did.
