Hillary Clinton has told congressional members in New York that she is open to becoming Barack Obama's Vice Presidential running mate.
"I am open to it." were the words from Hillary Clinton when
discussing becoming the running mate on Barack Obama's ticket. Clinton is open to the nomination if it would help party unity and win the election this November.
The announcement came after a conference call Hillary had with other New York senators. The response came after Democratic Rep. Nydia Velazquez voiced her opinion that Barack Obama would be helped in certain voting blocs if Hillary were added to the ticket, namely the Hispanic voters.
Bill Clinton also hinted the Democratic battle for the nomination is nearing its final days. He told
AP: "This may be the last day I’m ever involved in a campaign of this kind.”
