A helicopter carrying 14 injured residents from areas of southwestern Sichuan province heavily hit by last month's earthquake crashed Saturday. The copter was trying to evacuate the residents despite the heavy fog and strong turbulence in the area.
Just prior to the crash a team of military medical experts had been ferried in to Li county by the
Mi-171 chopper.
The helipoter lost contact with ground command. It is listed as missing and none of the passengers have been found.
