A boy was suspended and his teacher transferred after he urinated in a bottle during class. The boy claims the teacher would not let him use the restroom.
14-year-old Michael Patterson has been suspended after urinating in a bottle during class. The boy claims his teacher, Peter Stanzler, refused to allow him to use the restroom.
Fox News Reports:
"He said, 'Do what you got to do,"' Patterson said. "I said, 'I've got a bottle' and he said, 'Go in the corner.' So I just handled my business."
"I can't believe they don't believe me," student Michael Patterson said in a telephone interview after he was given the five-day suspension. "I have no reason to lie. What I said happened, happened."
Kelly Jacko, the boy's mother, consulted the NAACP even though she felt there was no indication the action was over race. Patterson is black and Stanzler is white.
Jacko indicated that she was caught off guard and was not sure how to protest the impending suspension.
Peter Stanzler has been advised not to discuss the incident, although he assures that it had nothing to do with race. Stanzler has been placed on paid leave while he is transferred from Goethe Middle School to another school.
