It has been more than a year, since JK Rowling wrote the last book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." Now she has written a prequel to Harry Potter.
J.K. Rowling has handwritten a short story and will auction it off for charity in London on June 10. It is an 800-word story.
No further details were available regarding the story and whether the main character Potter will make an appearance in the prequel.
Proceeds for this charity will go to English PEN and to Dyslexia Action. Later the same prequel will be made available to the public via
Waterstone’s in August.
In her sign-off to the story, Rowling said, "That was fun!"
Previously Rowling sold her handwritten story, “
The Tales of Beedle the Bard” last year for a record price of $3.98 million to
Amazon.com. The proceeds were given to “
The Children's Voice campaign," a charity she co-founded to help improve the lives of institutionalized children across Europe.
