A school bus has been
struck by a tractor trailer rig in Kenosha Wisconsin. There have been no life threatening injuries to any of the children.
"One of the kids that was stepping off the bus was actually ejected as the bus was hit from behind," Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth said.
The driver of the semi was apparently choking on a soda or coughing as he crested the hill and didn't appear to see the bus, as there were no skid marks on the roadway.
The 16 children on the bus ranged in age from fourth to eighth graders and were from Wheatland Center School.
All of the injured were either taken to area hospitals or life flighted to hospitals nearby.
The company who owns the truck, Wisconsin Logistics, has a better than average safety record an only has two other crashes where anyone has been injured on its records.
