The Daily KOS, infamous for accusing Republicans and conservatives of fearmongering, have decided to engage in a bit of fearmongering themselves, portraying Southerners as Klansmen lynching Michelle Obama. How low can you go? UPDATE: KOS article removed.
From the
Daily KOS:
My mistake. This KOS diary entry is now an 'un-statement.'
Funny how that happens, isn't it? Be it Bruce Ramsay's Seattle Times
editorial justifying Hitler's putsch of Austria, or Michelle Obama's
friendship with terrorist fundraiser Hatem el-Hady on Obama's campaign website, they all just seem to...disappear.
And they call Republicans Orwellian.
When they're not calling them Klansmen, that is.
However, you can find the original PhotoShop and writeup at LGF
here.
For those of you not totally familiar with KOS, it is at the same time one of the most popular and most offensive blogs on the Internet.
To get an idea of where KOS' Kommissar-in-Chief Markos Moulitsas is coming from, he once said of the four contractors butchered and desecrated in Fallujah,
'Screw 'em.'
This current article (or 'un-article' as it stands now) is not the exception but the rule at KOS. You'll find the BusHitler crowd there in force on any given day, They hate conservatives like the Nazis used to hate Jews.
Oh, and they
hate Jews, too. Never met a
terrorist they didn't like, either.
Except for Republican terrorists, that is.
Not to be confused with the
'glorious' Islamist freedom fighters.
The only thing more disturbing to me than KOS himself is how much influence he wields in the Democratic Party. Many of you may remember the Tinfoil Hat
convention in Chicago last year, where Dem POTUS candidates came to worship at the altar of KOS.
He is now freelancing at Newsweek on the 2008 Presidential race. Haven't read his Newsweek column on the races in Southern states, but I have a pretty good idea now.
Don't expect to see too many Democrats publicly objecting to the portrayal of Southern Republicans as Klansmen lynching Michelle Obama. Outside of purely political factors vis-a-vis KOS support, I think most liberal Democrats agree with that portrayal.
Certainly Obama does, after sitting in Rev. Wright's 'church' for 20-odd years.
They just won't say it. They'll just let foot soldiers like KOS put it out there.
Maybe the article is gone now because senior Dems asked KOS to tone it down, which is kind of like asking Hitler to tone it down on the Jews.
Then again, maybe the Democrats don't want people reminded that the former Grand Kleagle of the Ku Klux Klan is now the Democratic
'conscience of the Senate.'
But pay no attention to that man beneath the sheet.
Just remember who the REAL Klansmen and terrorists are today.
If you forget, don't worry.
KOS will remind you.
