What do you say to the cameraman when you are totally nude, on a stadium field and in the midst of over 1,800 naked bodies? Oh, and you aren't allowed to smile. It certainly isn't "cheese".
Spencer Tunick, a New York photographer known for his unique works that employee the unadorned subjects in unique venues, has outdone himself once again.
As the naked people were told to "stay very still" and "don't move" by Tunick at Austria's Happel Stadium, he spent about an hour snapping away at the birthday suit clad crowd in different with some in different poses. Very few of the pictures had anything to do with soccer despite Happel Stadium's association with the sport.
Tunick's website shows samples of his work and how the human body in natural form when massed together creates a unique shape in and of itself.
As for Sunday's photo shoot, the subjects had but three requests from Tunick:
no sunglasses, no smiling, and no underwear
An interesting splash of skin!
