James Bond producers have dumped troubled Grammy Award winnner Amy Winehouse after her recent string of arrests, rehabs and personal troubles.
Amy Winehouse was hired to sing the theme song for the upcoming Bond movie but because of her continued troubles with the British law, the James Bond producers have decided to
dump her.
The Grammy Award-winner was hired to record the theme song for the next James Bond movie,
Quantum of Solace but because of her drug overdose in August 2007 and repeated stints in drug rehab, the producers made an easy decision.
One source connected to the Bond movie told Reuters: “A month ago Amy was thought to be a shoo-in for the theme tune to Bond 22. Her voice and musical style was in perfect sync with what Bond is all about."
The producers were also planning to give a cameo role to Amy Winehouse in the Bond movie but the plans have been shelved, according to the source.
“After all the reports of hard drug use, self-injury and domestic violence, it’s fair to say the bosses here aren’t keen on the idea.”
Another wasted opportunity from a talented singer. Instead of utilizing the natural talent they douse it with alcohol and drinks.
