In a newly released game trailer, rapper 50 Cent is coming out with a sequel to his first game known as “50 Cent: Bullet Proof.” The sequel is called “50 Cent: Blood on the Sand.”
It is official, 50 Cent is releasing a game known as “50 Cent: Blood on the Sand.” This is the sequel to “50 Cent: Bulletproof.” So far, it is unknown how successful 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is. Many can speculate that this sequel could either be slightly better or far worse than its predecessor.
Many in the political community have condemned 50 Cent: Bulletproof because it was nothing but violence with no moral message. It contradicted 50 Cent’s claim that the game was supposed to teach them about gang life. However, the game has been criticized of being all fluff and no substance. It was even considered to be the worst game for the Playstation 2.
During its release back in 2005, the game has received very poor reviews. The game did feature members from G-Unit. However, the game did note compare to the success of “Def Jam: Fight For New York” which came out Fall of 2004.
The sequel for the game, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is set to be released for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 this coming fall. It uses the Unreal 3 Game engine.
In the game trailer, it reveals that 50 Cent ends up in the Middle East. He’s sitting in the passenger’s side smoking a cigar in a black Humvee. Suddenly, he gets attacked by terrorists and insurgents. In a sense, one could say that 50 Cent has joined the War on Terror.
Looking at the trailer, one could say that it is merely hype and no substance. Some of the enemies look a bit too “thuggish” for the Middle East.
According to a recent Wikipedia entry, the G-Unit is putting on a show. They get shafted out of money. Instead, the promoter gives them a diamond encrusted skull as payment. But the skull gets stolen. Afterwards, the story revolves around them trying to recover it.
So far, the reception on Gametrailers has towards the game has been negative. In order to be successful, this game may have to pull a Def Jam: FFNY out of its hat. But, one could possibly say that 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand would not be able to hold a match up to the success of “GTA IV.”
The reception towards the game trailer gives a clear indication that 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is expected to fail. This is somewhat similar towards the trailer for the fighting game “Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe” which pits characters from Mortal Kombat against those in the DC Universe. That trailer had Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat and Batman from the DC Universe fighting it out.
