A healthy sex life has long been said to be the secret glowing skin and overall health. It even helps prevent diseases such as prostate cancer. Well, in Santiago, Chile, free Viagra is being handed out in an effort to promote sexual activity for health.
No, you won't find a Brazilian type parade where ornately dressed dancers gyrate through the streets and throw handfuls of the wonder pills into a wanting crowd of senior citizens but it seems there are a few who have signed up for the free Viagra program.
Provided there are no cardiovascular risks and takers are actually diagnosed with erectile dysfunction, around 1,500 working class senior citizens in the Chilean town are eligible to participate in the "free love" program.
Actually, the program, launched by Lo Prado Mayor Gonzalo Navarrete was done so because he said
"an active sexuality improves the overall quality of life."
And what better place to be the Mayor than a city full of individuals living sexually active lives well into their glory days? Great Grandpa is no longer just rocking the chair on the front porch - he is rocking the whole porch now!
