Finally a selfless act from Activision. Activision is normally known for hording rights and keeping to themselves but in this case the company shines.
From Friday May 2 to May 5, there will be a Guitar Hero III acharity challenge competition (on easy, medium and hard), benefiting the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation. Activision announced they will donate $1 to the charity for every participant and $100 for every 1000 points of a challenger’s individual score.
The Starlight Starbright Foundation helps sick kids and their families cope with the suffering of illness through family activities and entertainment.
Gamers can sign up on the Guitar Hero’s
official site from today until May 2 at 7:59. The competition song is Monster’s “Matchbook Romance,” and the winner of the challenge scores an all-expense paid trip for two to Southern California and a tour of Neversoft Entertainment.
Also along with the event, Starbright is hosting their own competition in conjuction with Activision. Sick kids and their siblings will be allowed to participate in the festivities and the winner will be allowed to join the winners from Activisons challenge on their tour, exspenses paid.
