Spitzer girl Ashley Dupre sues 'Girls Gone Wild'

By Chris V. Thangham     Apr 29, 2008 in Entertainment
Ashley Alexandra Dupre, who was involved recently in the sex scandal with former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, has filed a lawsuit against Joe Francis, the founder of the “Girls Gone Wild” video series.
Before Dupre got involved with prostitution, she acted in one of “Girls Gone Wild” series as a teenager. She said in the lawsuit claim that Joe Francis deceived her into being on film by giving her too many alcoholic drinks.
Dupre said she was vacationing in Miami Beach when she was approached by agents and representatives of Joe Francis and offered alcoholic drinks.
While she was drunk, they made her expose her breasts and then forced her sign a release form.
Her attorney Richard C. Wolfe, who is filing this lawsuit on her behalf claims, she was 17 at that time and therefore she was not legally allowed to sign documents on her own without the consent of her family or relatives. Dupre is demanding more than $10 million in damages.

After the Spitzer scandal, Francis approached Dupre and negotiated with her to appear in the “Girls Gone Wild” magazine and on the company’s touring bus for $1 million. But Francis stopped negotiations when he later found that he already owned a video footage of Dupre.
Francis is not worried about the lawsuit. He told CNN:
"But I think it's ironic that she charged Gov. Spitzer $2,000 for sex and she wants to charge me 10 million for taking some naked pictures of her…I feel like I'm getting a raw deal."
Francis apparently is learning this lesson the hard way -- the pimp market is as volatile as the stock market. Francis wanted to capitalize on Dupre from the Spitzer scandal and now Dupre is returning the favor.
